| BOUNDARIES:
|
The Terraces in Corona del Mar is bordered
by the village and like the village the streets all are named
after flowers. To the West is Narcissus Avenue and the Oasis
Senior Center on Marguerite, to the East is Poppy Avenue and
to the North Harbor View Homes. |

|
HOMES: |
Originally built by Donald Bren Company as single family
attached homes for the discriminating buyer over 55 years
of age. The award winning design of the 100 single level condominiums
and the terraced single loaded streets allow each home entry
to be at street level. There are two plans. Most of the upper
homes have a view and some have an ocean or canyon view. Speaking
of canyon view the clubhouse, pool and spa are located on
the canyon with views of Pelican Hill Golf Course. |

|
AGE: |
The Terraces were built in 1987 and completed by March,
1988 |

HISTORY: |
The land belonged to the Irvine Company at one time. A
freeway was scheduled to go across Fifth Avenue until Newport
Beach residents voted it down. Low cost senior housing and
little cottages were discussed and eventually “The Terraces”
were built. The first phase was sold by lottery. Although
anyone can purchase them one occupant must be a senior. |
