OLD CORONA DEL MAR

BOUNDARIES:

Old Corona del Mar includes all the “Flower Streets alphabetically from Avocado to Poppy and Hazel, and from 5th Avenue near the Oasis Center to the Pacific Ocean. While Corona del Mar has its own Zip Code, it is actually part of the city of Newport Beach.

   

STYLE:

Dominant zoning is R-2, although there are several areas, R-1 which provide an eclectic mix of original cottages-over 50 years old - to brand new duplexes, condominiums and single family residences.

Meanwhile, 43 families share the seclusion of China Cove and Breakers Drive - the only homes on the sand in Corona del Mar.

   

FEATURES:

Old Corona del Mar's special charm lies in nearly 1/3 mile of a gorgeous sandy State Beach which is open year round. It is a fantastic family beach offering B.B.Q,s, volleyball, lifeguard services during spring and summer months and concession stands which service all your "beach needs". Cdm also boasts its owns village library, post office, fire station, community church and the famous Sherman Library and Gardens. An active Chamber of Commerce sponsors weekend sidewalk sales and a campaign to plant trees and flowers on their namesake streets.

Children attend Harbor View or Lincoln Elementary or Corona del Mar Junior High and High School.

Bisected by Pacific Coast Highway, Old Corona del Mar provides access to quaint shops, super markets and many fine restaurants.
