DOVER SHORES
| BOUNDARIES:

Dover Shores, on the west side of Upper Newport
Bay, is bounded by Irvine Avenue to the west and the Bay to
the east, including streets such as Morning Star, Evening
Star, North Star, Polaris, Westwind, Pescador, Galaxy Drive,
Santiago Drive, Mariners and Bluff Front.

The community was opened by Macco Realty Company and developed
by the Irvine Company. |

FEATURES: |
Dover Shores is known for its wonderful views, waterfront
property with docks and proximity to Fashion Island and the
Pacific Ocean. This unique neighborhood features three private
community beaches, including a children's beach with playground
equipment and summer swim instructor and lifeguard, an adult
beach and a fisherman's beach with small boat storage and
fishing areas. |

Most of the homes are custom built; many have been extensively
renovated in recent years. Homes originally built by developers
in the 1960's are varied in size and floorplan. All homes
have generous-size lots. When the development was started
in 1963, many of the properties were leaseholds; a few still
are. |

Children attend either Mariners Elementary, Ensign Intermediate,
or Newport Harbor High School. |
