COTO DE CAZA

BOUNDARIES:

Coto is located east of the 5 freeway in the Saddleback Mountain foothills. It is less that 20 miles from John Wayne Airport and is freeway close to beaches and major shopping centers.

   

HOMES:

There have been 1,500 homes built to date and another 1,500 are planned in the next few years. Many custom lots are available as well.

   

AGE:

Development of Coto began in the 1970s although the majority of the homes are less than 10 years old.

   

FEATURES:

Coto is an award-winning, guard-gated community designed for active families. Of Coto’s 4,000 acres, the development plan calls for 2,000 acres to remain as open spaces ranging from landscaped greenbelts and parks to natural wilderness. Coto has extensive recreational amenities including an equestrian center, a world-class tennis college, and the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club. The course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., is Orange County’s only private 36-hole golf club.

Coto is adjacent to rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo, with many stores and shopping districts within a short distance. Coto is also just a few minutes from the San Diego freeway and from he new Foothill Tollway, giving it easy access to major shopping centers throughout Orange County.
